Cook's Meadow

This viewpoint is on the boardwalk just a few steps west of the Sentinel Bridge parking lot; you'll pass this way if you hike the Sentinel/Cook's Meadow Loop. Remarkably, you can see the tree in the foreground (or at least its shadow) on the satellite view below. Tumbling down the cliff in the background is Yosemite Falls, as usual much below peak volume in the winter. The ice cone at the bottom of the upper fall is not, alas, visible from this angle.
