Brown Bells (Fritillaria micrantha) plants

Brown Bells (Fritillaria micrantha)

This photo shows off both flowering plants and one that's just sprouted a food leaf (the big leaf in front of the flowering stalks). If it's able to store enough nutrients from its food leaf, it'll sprout a flower stalk the following year. The little white flowers surrounding the Brown Bells are Nemophila heterophylla.
