Yosemite Creek just as it heads over Yosemite Falls
Lip of Yosemite Falls
If you were drugged by your kidnappers and you wake up floating on a raft with this view in front of you, it's time to act: you're about to go over Yosemite Falls.

It's the photographer's curse that conveying scale is one of the most difficult things to do in a photo, and that's the case here. Yosemite Creek is much wider than it appears from this vantage point - note the miniature people sitting on the rocks on either bank.

That's Sentinel Rock looming just across the valley. If not for the trees on the creek's left bank, Sentinel Dome might be visible as well.
