Photography geekery: The front-page photo and this one show the sort of light differences you can expect with backlighting (the main-page photo) vs. an overcast day (this photo), in the event you wonder about that sort of thing. This photo also sacrifices depth of field for a softer look (aperture f/3.2 here vs. f/9 on the cover shot), although this happens to have been just a happy accident. I think I might actually have been trying to point the camera at a cat.
