Tuolumne Meadows from Pothole Dome
Tuolumne Meadows is bookended by granite domes, Lembert on the east and Pothole on the west. Pothole is the easier hike, being only a few hundred feet higher than the meadow and right next to the road to boot. You can easily get to the top and be taking in this view for yourself with 15 or 20 minutes' effort. You can make a two-mile loop out of it, too, if you want to linger.
