This is the first of the two waterfalls you'll see on your way to Glen Aulin. (The other is White Cascade; there are three additional waterfalls within 3.5 miles/5.5 km downstream from Glen Aulin, but it's difficult to fit them all into a day hike from the Glen Aulin trailhead at Tuolumne Meadows.)

Tuolumne Falls and the White Cascade waterfall are each 40-50 feet (12-15 meters) high - note the size of the swimmer in the pool below the falls. This spot is within half a mile of the hike's turnaround point at Glen Aulin. From here, the river enters a series of cascades, culminating in the waterfall and pool at trail's end.
