 
 
Twilight at the Merced National Wildlife Refuge
	Staying for twilight means you'll run perilously close to violating the refuge's close-at-thirty-minutes-past-sunset rule, but the post-sunset glow 
	reflecting off the water is hard to resist. The refuge is much quieter, birdwise, by this time of the evening, an effect exaggerated by this photo's 
	10-second exposure, which erased anything that wasn't standing still.
