Western Dog Violets (Viola adunca) in Wawona Meadow, Yosemite

Western Dog Violet (Viola adunca)

The back end of the flower is responsible for the back end of Viola adunca's name - adunca is the Latin term for 'hooked' (per the whitish spur curving up into a hooklike tip).
