Half Dome Overlook
Once you've climbed the Snow Creek Trail to the valley rim, veer off trail to the east (the trail, which has about as much brains as a pile of dirt, turns north and disappears into the woods here). You'll find an opening along the rim with views across the canyon to Half Dome. Explore at will, but - and this is an official recommendation - don't fall over the rim. The next floor is 2,600 feet down.
