Here, at 10,500 feet (3,200 meters), you'll be straddling two worlds, with the lush Dana Meadows behind you and the more severe Gaylor Lakes basin in front of you. This view faces east, to the mountains that drop off the eastern slope of the High Sierra to the Mono Lake valley.
