Yosemite Lakes Resort belongs to a network of membership-based RV parks, and roughly half the park's sites are open only to visitors who've purchased annual memberships. The other half, though, including yurts, cabins, RV sites, and tent sites, are open to the public at large. The resort is just under six miles (10 km) outside Yosemite's northwest (Highway 120/Big Oak Flat) entrance.
Assuming you're not arriving in your own RV mini-manse, the yurts are the deluxe accomodation here; they're basically circular cabins with canvas walls. They've got electricity, heat and air conditioning, bathrooms, kitchens, and HD TV. The actual cabins are rather compact and don't have bathrooms.
Yosemite Lakes is a large property (400 acres, though it's not fully developed), and includes a handful of entertainment options near the office - a playground, a basketball court, shuffleboard and horseshoes areas, and a vanilla 9-hole miniature golf course. The Tuolumne River runs through the grounds and is stocked by the resort. Wireless Internet is available in the member lodge and at tent/yurt/RV sites lucky enough to be within a few hundred feet of the lodge. There's a gas station and convenience mart at the resort's turnoff on Highway 120, but it keeps limited hours.
