Lower Yosemite Falls as seen from Glacier Point. Or, to be more forthright:
Lower Yosemite Falls as seen through a telephoto lens from Glacier Point. The bridge at the lower falls viewing area is just visible at the bottom of the photo.
In case you're having trouble working out the scale here, keep in mind that the lower falls are 320 feet (95 meters) high and the bridge is probably 30-40 feet (10-14 meters) across.
You can actually see more of Yosemite Falls from Glacier Point than you can from
just about anywhere in Yosemite Valley, where you're usually blocked by trees from seeing
one or the other of the lower or upper falls. You can't feel the spray at Glacier Point, though, no matter how big a snowpack is melting - although you can often
hearNevada and Vernal Falls from the early parts of the Glacier Point trail.
