Looking northwest across the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne
Unobstructed views from the clearing are in this direction. Views to the more rugged country up the canyon to the east are largely blocked by trees.
If you could see all the way to the bottom of the canyon from this spot (you can't), you'd see the upper end of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.
Though they're not visible in this photo, there are lots of quaking aspens in the clearing here, so this spot will have bonus color in the fall.
