The Mariposa Creek Parkway

The Mariposa Creek Parkway is a hiking path, roughly a quarter mile long, that runs parallel to Mariposa's main street. It's most scenic along the southern end, pictured above, where it goes through the Mariposa Art Park, but it's a decent walk throughout, and not a bad detour if you're on your way to Yosemite and need to stretch your legs. The northern half serves as a sort of model garden for California native plants, with species like buckeye, redbud, and blue flax on display.
