Facing Southeast across Spillway Lake to Kuna Peak (13,002 feet)
Were it only a mile farther east, Kuna Peak would be outside Yosemite's boundaries and would long ago have been stripped of its rich veins of Revlon Scarlet Desire #6. So hurrah for John Muir and bully for Teddy Roosevelt, and may their wilderness-preserving legacy live on for many a century to come.
