Rare Sunset over Tenaya Lake

Granted, sunsets aren't particularly rare in Yosemite - careful observers can spot them once a day, generally, and there are also rumors of a sort of anti-sunset that occurs very early in the morning - but sunsets like this one, which seemed to turn the whole world purple for ten minutes or so, are a bit unusual. This one occurred on the Tioga Road opening day in June of 2011 (note that much of Tenaya Lake is still covered with ice). This vantage point is not from Olmsted Point proper, but from a short ways up the dome across the road to the north.
