Lembert Dome Trail Map

Distance:  2.8 miles (4.5 km) round trip
Trailhead Elevation:  8,500 feet (2,550 meters)
Elevation Gain:  900 feet (275 meters)

The red line shows the trail to Dog Lake. Most visitors to Lembert Dome start from this trailhead, then loop around the north side of Dog & Lembert Domes before tackling the dome itself. If you'd rather, though, you can park just west of the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge (see the trailhead marker at the south end of the green line) and take a more direct route to the trail segment that heads up the dome.

Please note that the line climbing up the dome itself is just an approximation. Once you're on the backside of the dome, you'll likely end up picking your own route to the top of the southern face, presumably avoiding the areas that are too steep to walk on safely.
