From the satellite view it's apparent that the Clouds Rest trail doesn't follow the ridge for its entire ascent, but instead sneaks up on it from behind and gives hikers just a taste of the dizzying dropoff to the Tenaya Canyon. If you get there and think that's not enough, maybe you should be hanging out with this guy.
