Clouds Rest from Olmsted Point, Yosemite National Park

The North Face of Clouds Rest

From the hike's destination at the very top of Clouds Rest, it appears as if the ridge drops straight down to the floor of the Tenaya Canyon two thousand feet below, but it's clear from this angle (and this one as well) that such isn't the case, and you'd probably bounce once or twice on the way down. Consequently, your last words would not be "AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!", but rather the more pithy "Oof!"

A much more dignified way to go, the judges all agree.
