As Seen from Downstream (click for larger version)

This scene is from July, with water levels well below peak flow. The pool in the foreground is probably the park's most popular swimming hole outside Yosemite Valley, rivaling Carlon Falls and the conventional swimming pool at the nearby Wawona Hotel. Remember that there are no lifeguards on duty here, the currents can be strong in the spring (and the water cold), the riverbed can be slippery, etc.
