Bodie is 43 miles (69 km) from Yosemite's eastern entrance at Tioga Pass. From the Yosemite entrance gate, drive 12 miles (19 km) east to the Tioga Road's intersection with Highway 395; from there, turn left and drive 18 miles (30 km) north to the Bodie road, Highway 270. The turnoff is well marked. Once on the Bodie road, it's 13 miles (21 km) to Bodie itself. The last 3 miles (5 km) of the road are unpaved, but it should be passable for just about any car - in the summer, anyway. In the winter both the Bodie and Tioga roads are closed.
The intrepid authors of the Bodie.com website have created a timelapse video (below) of the final leg of the drive to Bodie. The driver approaches from the north rather than from Yosemite, but at the 18 second mark the author turns onto the Bodie Road (Road 270 on the above map), at which point you can spend four minutes watching the Bodie Road's 13 miles breeze past at roughly 150 mph.
