Foresta. Rocks.

My friend and I rented a VRBO in Foresta and went out exploring one afternoon. We were completely blown away when we stumbled upon Foresta Falls. We didn't see a single person on this 2 hour hike and our best photographs and memories of 10 days in Yosemite were on this trail. What a treasure. There was a washed out bridge but passable over the lower Foresta falls. House-sized boulders on which we ate lunch. We returned a second day to sketch, photograph and paint. The view of the Valley below is unparalleled. The history behind this part of the park is amazing and we also walked into the Foresta cemetery featuring 5 tombstones from 1830's of pioneers who were among the earliest settlers in Yosemite. Amazing area.
