Spouse forced me.....
 ·  LA  ·  June 11, 2022

You know the drill, spouse wants cute pictures to post for her friends...so we hiked. Not bad, but some STEEP up and down. Go slow and don't complain. Some water, but couldn't see very well due to my panting from the climb. Said I enjoyed all the tree, but they all look the same to me. Hoped to see Bigfoot or something, maybe Bigfoot would capture me so I would not have climb the trail back to the car...nope. Boss Move: told spouse that she was way prettier than any of the trees.

This one’s more about the journey than the destination

This is a great forest trail that features several unexpectedly steep climbs. It’s mostly shaded and stays near the river, which is clear and peacefully still. The falls themselves aren’t terribly impressive, but they’re worth the hike. We encountered several families enjoying a picnic lunch on the large boulders along the water’s edge; also saw several folks fishing (and one guy skinny-dipping).
