Spreading Phlox (Phlox diffusa)
Sometime in the first month or so after the Glacier Point Road opens, hundreds of these flowers will start blooming along the Sentinel Dome trail, adding sprinkles of lavender to brighten up your hike and asking nothing in return except that you help pollinate a few on your way.
