The views from Glacier Point stretch for about 270 degrees, with highlights like Yosemite Falls, Vernal and Nevada Falls, North and Basket Domes, Liberty Cap, and a variety of Sierra peaks in the east (here you can see Echo Peaks, which reaches 10,960 feet, punching through the horizon just to the left of Clouds Rest). For all that, though, the sight of Half Dome with Clouds Rest off its eastern shoulder still stands out. Just below the Geology Hut is a telescope through which you can often see hikers on top of Half Dome or climbers making their way up one of Half Dome's faces.
