Tenaya Lake western shore

Tenaya Lake Western Shore

The suspiciously level bank lining the far side of the lake is man-made, delineating the route that Tioga Road takes along Tenaya Lake's northern shore. (If you look closely, you can see a car there.) The rock stacks in the foreground are probably also man-made, to the likely chagrin of the park service and its "leave no trace" policy. Best to overcome your geology-arranging impulses and let entropy have its way in Yosemite's wild spaces, rangers would tell you.
